Costa del Sol’s Blue Flag Beaches: A Paradise in Spain
In 2018, the Costa del Sol in Malaga, Spain, saw an increase in the number of its beaches being awarded the prestigious Blue Flag status. This recognition is not just for their natural beauty, but also for the cleanliness of the environment and the purity of the water. The Costa del Sol, known for its stunning weather and relaxed lifestyle, is a prime location in the sunny region of Andalusia.

This certification is given to coasts around the world based on criteria such as water quality, safety, environmental education and information, and the provision of services. Spain has consistently held the top spot for the most pristine seaside areas since the awards began in 1987.
