Banyan Tree Group to Develop Luxury Resort in Costa del Sol
Singapore-based hotel group, Banyan Tree Group, has entered into a partnership with La Quinta Grupo Inmobiliario to construct a hotel and residential complex in Costa del Sol. The luxury resort, named Angsana Real de La Quinta Benahavis Marbella, is expected to be operational by 2026. It will feature 90 rooms and suites, along with branded residences.
Expansion of Real de La Quinta Residential Complex
The Real de La Quinta residential complex, nestled in the Sierra de las Nieves mountain range between Marbella and Benahavis, is expanding its offerings as an exclusive luxury enclave on the Costa del Sol in Malaga. The recent commencement of work on the El Lago Club, a massive leisure centre for residents, has been followed by the announcement of the construction of a hotel establishment by the Banyan Tree Group.
Partnership with La Quinta Grupo Inmobiliario
The Singapore-based company has partnered with La Quinta Grupo Inmobiliario, a part of the Pascual Group, to build the Angsana Real de La Quinta Benahavis Marbella luxury hotel. This residential area spans over 200 hectares and is set in an unparalleled natural setting.
Banyan Tree Group’s Debut in Spain
Peter Hechler, vice president and chief operating officer of Banyan Tree Group, expressed his excitement about the group’s debut in Spain. Design of the Facility
The design of the facility will be led by OBMI, with interiors by MKV Design and landscaping by RSR Studio. The design will aim for a bright and airy ambience, composed of clean lines and simple silhouettes. It will incorporate brick and stone patterns that reference local building materials and traditions.

The resort, with 90 rooms and suites set around an oasis-like courtyard, will feature 3 restaurants, several snack bars, professional meeting areas, a spa and kids’ club, family-friendly pools and an amphitheatre for weddings.
Branded Residences
The branded residences, ranging from 97 to 151 square metres, are designed to meet the needs of a family-oriented lifestyle. The two and three-bedroom Angsana residences will have a private courtyard, swimming pool, parking, daily cleaning and maintenance services.
